The architects, Studio B, describe this project in a tree lined Boulder neighborhood as "a modern interpretation of the local agricultural and rural vernacular." The secluded gardens, pool and private orchard can be enjoyed outside or inside the home - thanks to the large windows and sliding doors that enclosed them.
The structures, together with the abundant glass, simultaneously offer strategic privacy and a very direct connection to the outdoors. This successfully, and beautifully, achieves Studio B's goal for the residence to be "both airy and intimate."
