This home was designed to take full advantage of its location on Vermont's beautiful Lake Champlain, with westerly views of the Adirondack Mountains across the lake in New York.

The windows give the experience of being right on the lake with the largest spread in the living room boasting of a 22 ft long expanse of glass. The elevated vantage point enables the homeowner to enjoy views of the changing seasons: the flights of birds in warmer months, and the intricate ice formations when it is cold - veritable living paintings just outside the panes.

Using tilt and turn units on many of the openings allows for natural air flow and brings in the sounds of the lapping lake outside. Meanwhile, the highly durable and performance-tested windows easily sustain high lakeside wind gusts from the occasional storms. And if the aesthetic and practical benefits of the windows were not enough, the windows’ high performance has even garnered recognition for the project as a high efficiency home by the State of Vermont.
